Special#1 (Shibui - 渋い)

Origin: Izumo, Japan

Izumo's cloudy, cooler, mistier climate slows down the tea plant's growth, naturally boosting amino acids (L-theanine) while keeping bitterness remarkably low.

Cultivars: Okumidori

Flavor Profile: mellow, slightly nutty, calm umami, exceptionally smooth, low bitterness.

Okumidori is known for having very low bitterness and minimal astringency, making it remarkably smooth on the palate.

Okumidori from Izumo leans into a gentle earthiness, and a soft, delicate, subtle profile.
